Factory Friday: May 8th

It's Friday and we're here with some behind the scenes shots from the production floor. We build our boots here in Eugene, Oregon and we're very proud of our process and the end result, and we think you will enjoy some behind the scenes action.

Some of the best tanneries in the world are right here in the US, like Seidel that tans a number of our leathers.

Oiled Rough Outs are a synthesis of decades of leathercraft, resulting in hefty, weather-resisant leathers that are made for boot building.

These three examples are built into a variety of boots, all built with longevity in mind, using Goodyear welted construction.

Intenional, appropriate use of technology allows us to build boots with precision, serving that ultimate purpose of longevity.

Doing everything in-house gives us the agility to constantly improve our processes, and therefore the end result.

Oiled Rough Outs are tanned to perpetually resist degredation, while maintaining their natural appearance.

We want what you want: well constructed, quickly comfortable boots that you don't have to worry about.

Every step is toward that end.

There are no compromises, and that function must be met with a thoughtful approach to form.

We've recently been building moc toes on our casual last, resulting in a lower toebox, and a general sleeker silhouette.

A Black Cherry Bison preorder nearing the end of the line.

A sample getting its finishing touches.

Another example of our moc toe on our casual last.

Cedarburg, a low-oil tannage from Seidel just before finishing.

Another sample that'll be added to our Seconds and Samples collection.

More next Friday. Sign up for weekly updates delivered direct—no spam, just factory floor reality.
