Factory Friday: January 9th

Factory Friday: January 9th

It's Friday and we're here with some behind the scenes shots from the production floor. We build our boots here in Eugene, Oregon and we're very proud of our process and the end result, and we think you will enjoy some behind the scenes action.

Cutting up more Coyote Oiled Rough Out leather.

We're going to see lots of this leather this year, and even more of the black version too.

Setting the speedhooks.

This year we're going to be keeping this boot (Java Waxed Flesh) better stocked than in the past.

Here the upper (in Java Waxed Flesh) is being aligned and stretched over the last.

The upper is stapled prior to the welt being attached.

Lasted, about to be welted.

Here the boot must be carefully guided as the welt is attached to the upper.

A batch of Autumn Cypress is coming down the line.

Close up of the hidden cork that molds to your foot as you wear the boots.

In every step, hand-eye coordination is critical.

More next Friday. Sign up for weekly updates delivered direct—no spam, just factory floor reality.
