Factory Friday: February 20th

It's Friday and we're here with some behind the scenes shots from the production floor. This week we want to throw it out there, if you've got any questions about the process, or whatever, leave us a comment and next week we'll try and answer! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. See ya next week!

A few shots from the sewing department. Do you want to see more video on the Factory Fridays? Let us know!

Cutting up some more Black Oiled Rough Out.

A new Double Shot leather is in the house: REDWOOD.

Midsole skyscrapers.

This is newer to the factory, Barbour's split welt. The rich brown color really accents a lot of our leathers well.

And here's a real first look at the Redwood Double Shot in upper form. Rich, burnt chestnut-colored leather that will break in with no discomfort.

Some random builds we're working on.

A pair of British Tan Grizzly moc toes getting toe lasted.

Boondocker Moc Toes are being restocked here soon.

As is Autumn Cypress with our commando sole.

Autumn getting its welt attached prior to adding the shank and cork.

Corked up and ready for the midsole.

Lining up the midsole before it is presssed.

The aforementioned pressing of the midsole.

Our trusty five-in-one rolling the along the welt ensuring adhesion to the midsole before stitching.

This new Double Shot leather looks great transformed into a boot.

Before finish sanding the last is removed.

A final sand brings the whole boot together before edge bevelling and staining.

One of the last steps before QC is the application of the stain. It is then buffed for a smooth, consistent finish.

Another shot of the Redwood Double Shot.

And the final QC rack here it was loaded up with some Chocolate Rough Shot cap toes.
